With some sexy scenes and a good, strong leading lady in Julia and a loveable rogue of a romantic hero in Sebastian. The chemistry bounces off the pages and is so wonderfully written you will not want to stop reading. Author Cynthia Wright has done excellent research of locations too and they give the story a beautiful backdrop and setting that adds another dimension to the story.

This is another superb historical romance novel by Cynthia Wright. The plot of the story ties together really well and I really enjoyed the story. What an adventure the two leading characters have, making a really good love story. The good news is that I still have a lot more books that I can read from this fantastic author and I can’t wait to get started on them.

You, and No Other by Cynthia Wright

This is a historical romance novel, set in the reign of King Francois in France in the sixteenth century.

To escape an arranged marriage Aimee De Fleurance runs away to join the court of King Francois. It was actually her sister Honorine who had been invited to court by the King and Aimee has sneakily taken her place. Once Aimee arrives she must try and avoid been discovered by the King. When Thomas (St Briac) recognises Aimee from an earlier meeting, he agrees to help Aimee, but when the King goes to her bed expecting to find Honorine, Thomas steps forward and tells the King that Aimee is with him and that they intend to marry. The couple find themselves betrothed. Sparks fly between the couple and Aimee thinking she will end up married to a man who does not love her comes up with a plan to get out of the marriage. But when unexpected circumstances happen what will become of her plan?

WOW! This is a fantastic story. With a really strong female leading character, heroine Aimee is a woman who is bold and rebellious, and she knows exactly what she wants and she is a very likeable character and so is the leading man Thomas. The love-hate relationship between the two characters is very entertaining and enjoyable and good fun at times. I am so glad there are more books about Aimee and Thomas and I can’t wait to read them. This is one of the best historical romance novels I have ever read.

Silver Storm by Cynthia Wright

This is a Historical Romance novel set in the 18^th century during the American Revolution.

Devon Lindsay is a young innocent girl, who lives with her mother in New London, Connecticut. After the town is ransacked by the British red coats, Devon is rescued by a crew member of a privateer called the Black Eagle. Devon hides on board disguised as a man. The French Captain Andre Raveneau soon discovers her. There is already a history between Devon and Raveneau they have already shared a passionate kiss in the past.

Devon is determined to meet up with her childhood sweetheart Morgan Gadwin, who is fighting in the war. Add in a mysterious character called Jay and which one will our leading lady Devon make her Beau?

Silver Storm is a nice easy read that really draws the reader in the first few chapters. What I like about this book is that the author takes a brave risk, by making her leading men not very likeable. I know this will not be to too many readers taste, but I personally feel that this makes the book more true to life. Devon is a very likeable character. I really enjoyed reading this book, which is the first in the Raveneau series and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
