Even though most of the characters are bad to the bone you cannot help but like them. The ending was a complete surprise to me. I just did not see that coming. I really enjoy books like this, pure fantasy and fabulous.

The Green Hills of Home by Emma Bennet

This book had me intrigued from page one. It is a delightful story mainly just featuring the two central characters of Gwen and John. The book is really well written with a story line that will just make you want to keep on reading.

Midsummer Magic by Julia Williams

When newly engaged Josie goes to visit her parents in Cornwall with her fiancé, and his best friend Ant and her best friend Diana, the idea was to begin making wedding plans, but when they meet a well-known TV hypnotist called Freddie Puck in a local pub and he invites them to take part in a hypnosis experiment to do with a local myth. Freddie claims that he can hypnotise a couple and make them fall in love on Midsummers Eve at the stepping stones just like it says in the myth.

The four agree to take part and what follows is a calamity of events that will test their relationships with each other and push boundaries of love and friendship. That could change their lives forever.

This is a great storyline and modern take on A Midsummer’s Night Dream that has some really great characters, the hypnosis theme is really good and sometimes the results are hilarious. It is a love triangle or a love circle spinning round so fast you have no idea who will end up with whom! The book keeps you guessing right up to the end. I just could not put this book down and before I knew it I was over half-way through!  So I will certainly be looking forward to reading more books by Julia Williams.

The Fine Art of Delusional Thinking by Bonnie Trachtenberg

This is a refreshing and fun self-help book which encourages the reader to better their life by using the art of delusional thinking, using such things as fantasy and daydreams!

Written in a tongue-in-cheek way and with good humour, with such chapters as; Be a Star or Just Act like one. The reader will find this book highly entertaining and it will really make you smile as you read Bonnie’s thoughts and suggestions. The book is not that long either so can easily be read in one sitting. This is my kind of self-help, just good light hearted fun nothing heavy, and I actually did learn a few things too!

I knew from page one that I was going to really enjoy reading this book and I was not wrong. This is an amazing read, wrote at a fast lively pace that makes this book a very entertaining read. The characters are just wonderful, and I found the book good fun, and although the pace became more serious and touching towards the end of the book it was a nice balance of human emotion, that makes this a book well worth reading, and if I could give it more than five stars I would.

I am really looking forward to reading more of the Angela Panther series of novels.
