<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Sebastian feels
drawn to enrol at a college of natural medicine, which has a
sanctuary modelled on an ancient Greek healing centre. Once he spends
time in the temple he has strange and mysterious dreams of Apollos, a
young Athenian. Seb is able to see, feel and experience these dreams
as if he is really there. In order to help him understand his dreams
his college lecturer Sybil is at hand to help him decipher what the
dreams could mean. Meanwhile his friends try to help unlock the
mysteries occurring in his present life.</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">

</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
I found this book
really fast-paced and engaging from the start. I really wanted to see
how the character and storyline developed over the pages. There is a
spiritual side to this story as well as adventure, mystery and
romance. I have enjoyed reading all of Carolyn Mathews books and I
highly recommend them all.

Nikki
Bywater's career in media began as a model and support artist, which
lead to small acting roles in film and television. It was through her
work in television she was given the opportunity to write. Nikki in
her role as a book and script publicist is well-known for giving her
time generously to new writers, many of them going on to be published

<a href="https://www.blogger.com/null" name="_GoBack"></a>
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Aspiring
writers are often given the advice to write about what they know, but
I do the opposite. One of my short stories is about an Aborgine in
Australia, although I’ve only ever been in transit at Brisbane
airport for forty minutes. I’ve never set foot in Kashmir, but I’ve
based my novel </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i>The
Giants Look Down</i></span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">
there. </span></span>
</div>
<div class="western" lang="en-GB" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">What
a cheek you may say! But writers go where their imaginations take
them and once mine had been ignited - by a report on the car radio of
the Great Earthquake of 2005- I couldn’t put the spirit back in the
bottle. I discovered that the Vale of Kashmir is breathtakingly
beautiful. Some of the highest mountains in the world cradle a valley
lush in sycamore woods and fields of saffron interspersed with a
necklace of lakes. A spectacular place to set a story, it also boasts
a rich history of maharajas, princes and princesses. But this
paradise has been spoilt by strife since the mostly Muslim Vale of
Kashmir chose to become part of its Hindu neighbour, India. Two wars
have been fought over it and India and Pakistan still stand their
ground on a glacier at the highest battlefield of the world, where
avalanches claim more lives than armed conflict. </span></span>

<div class="western" lang="en-GB" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">There
must be a story in there somewhere, I thought! What would happen if a
10-year-old Hindu girl called Jaya decided to become a doctor much to
the chagrin of her mother and the patriarchal society of 1960s
Kashmir? My aim was solely to entertain and amuse the reader. I did
not want to take sides yet at the same time I tried to depict the
situation as sensitively and genuinely as possible and drawing
attention to the plight of Kashmiris could surely not be a bad thing
in itself, I thought. </span></span>
</div>
<div class="western" lang="en-GB" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
wanted to show Jaya growing up and negotiating the rapids of love
when she falls for the son of the family she later stays with in
Scotland. Does she have to choose between dashing Alastair, a student
of architecture and lover of jazz music, and her dream of becoming a
doctor and returning to Kashmir to build a clinic far up in the
mountains? Well, you’ll just have to read the book to find out! </span></span>
</div>
<div class="western" lang="en-GB" style="line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Going
to Kashmir, if only in my mind, albeit with the help of online
resources, picture books and interviews with Indians, has been a
wonderful journey that started in my car. My next novel </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><i>Black
Snake </i></span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">takes
place in the Canadian Wilds. You’ve guessed it – I’ve never
been there either.</span></span></div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Scarlett in her
working role as a dog behaviourist is an expert at sorting dogs and
at times their owners out with a whole range of issues, but when it
comes to a serious issue that occurs in her own life, and it puts her
relationships with both her husband and best friend at risk. Scarlett
struggles to find a way through the behaviour of those closest to
her.</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Although this book
is very entertaining and humorous, it does have a more serious and
deeply emotional side to the story, that is deeply touching. I really
have enjoyed reading all the books by this author for those reasons.
I also like that with the fast pace of the storyline you cannot help
but read the book in one sitting, which made my train journey pass so
much more quickly.

A very sentimental
and moving romance story with the backdrop of Athens setting the
scene. Being a Yorkshire lass, I like the connection to York in the
book too and also I do hope there will be a sequel to this story. I
enjoyed it so much.</div>

Two doctors, two
friends, one is a very successful hospital consultant, the other is a

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
This book is very
cleverly written not only for its extremely entertaining plot, but
because it gives you a unique insight about the NHS and the struggle
that face doctors in trying to carry out their day to day duties.
For me, from a patient's point of view, this book educated me on why
we do not always get the service we expect from the NHS. The
storyline really highlights and raises issues that are preventing
this in a fair and honest way.</div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Kate has a gift. She
can connect and communicate with the dead. She uses her gift to help
people. Kate is on a case to save a kidnapped soul, by a deranged and
deadly doctor. She must travel to a remote Italian island to help
bring back a young girl's soul intact, to save her life, while
risking her own life to do so. Such is the risk of her mission she
asks her friend Jackson, who doesn't know quite what he is letting
himself in for and the adventure that awaits them ahead.</div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
I do not usually
read horror or dark fiction, but seeing as it is about to be
Halloween I thought I would leave my comfort zone of love and
romance, and have a look to see what the other side has to offer. I
found the narration to be very lively and interesting. I did find
some of the scenes a little gory at times, but that was to be
expected reading this genre, right? However I would say this book is
more like a thriller than a horror. I am glad I tried something
different. I can see the book's appeal and if you are a fan of this
genre then I recommend this book to you.

When life-style
writer Tia is sent out of London on an assignment by her usually
stone-cold boss, to a remote and small seaside town in South Wales.
Tia finds herself in the beautiful beach haven of Holly Cove cottage.
The perfect place for some quiet reflection and to come to terms with

However soon the

romance?</div>

<br />
You would be surprised just how much truth can go into fiction. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh04gN4kUvqlYMKadCcgEkOsD4lFYm9uQ0ydS_rKDuIGWTxosABkMDqF7uEwp_hQMQUR3BeYczU8xbGxLzPob9hhyphenhyphencqTTwgmMjilFP36FFnC4Wjx_zmKFh_gK612vsyY0mxgckkF3RhZzg/s1600/IMG_20180902_170615_191.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh04gN4kUvqlYMKadCcgEkOsD4lFYm9uQ0ydS_rKDuIGWTxosABkMDqF7uEwp_hQMQUR3BeYczU8xbGxLzPob9hhyphenhyphencqTTwgmMjilFP36FFnC4Wjx_zmKFh_gK612vsyY0mxgckkF3RhZzg/s320/IMG_20180902_170615_191.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I have no idea where the ideas come from. If something moves me... It motivates me to write.<br />
<br />
I am a scribbler of ideas.<br />
<br />
I like working with a group of writers. I love to storyboard ideas and watch them bounce around from writer to writer.<br />
<br />
I like the wit in words.<br />
<br />
When you write...<br />
When you write that one perfect line.<br />
That one line that connects and completes the words perfectly in sync. Just that.<br />
<br />
To create a character. To live and breathe a whole new person. To put the words into that characters mouth. You decide what is their fate. Just to be creative and escape into the depts of your imagination. To be allowed to do just that. Scriptwriting can take you anywhere and everywhere and back again...<br />
<br />
I like breaking the rules.<br />
<br />
I like to push the limits of my imagination.<br />
<br />
<br />
I like to see a manuscript come to life. To take its first steps and to see how it will develop. How can we make it work? <br />
<br />
I like to make dreams come true.<br />
<br />
You take one idea... You run with it... You run and run... At times you want to run away from it... But always you find yourself at the finish and THE END. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

Following on from
the wonderful and witty, Handcuffs, Truncheon and a Polyester Thong,
once again we join police officer Mavis Upton and her lively life
policing. Mavis is trying very hard to solve the mystery of a dodgy
'doughnutter' and I tell you this, I will never look at a doughnut
the same way again! Filled with fun and great comical timing this
book was a joy to read.
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Having really
enjoyed and been thoroughly entertained by the first book in this
series by author Gina Kirkham, I was really looking forward to the
second book, and I was not disappointed. Gina tells a good tale with
such hilarious humour that I had to pause between pages, to have some
reading recovering time. I was splitting my sides with laughter.
Such is the character and situation comedy in this book. Do we have a
good police comedy on TV right now? I certainly nominate and put
forward Gina and her stories. I would love to see Mavis Upton and
her comedy calamities brought to life on the screen.
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
As much as I smiled
and laughed my way through the book at times I found some scenes
touching and moving and this is done so well in the writing. Never a
dull moment and I cannot wait for book three.</div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Family and
friendships are at the heart of this novel. The importance of
relationships and the impact they can have on lives. Bonded by
tragedy, burdened by guilt, secrets kept to protect and save family
and friends from deep hurt. A love that blossoms. A love that's lost.
We go through a full cycle of emotions from joy to pain and back
again. A community of characters all connected over the loss and
tragedy of a young girl.</div>

Books bought and then put away and forgotton about. When you are a reviewer and have an hectic working life you find you have no time to read books of your own choice. So for the past few weeks I have just taken time out to do just that. Yes by now the books are a few years old and I had to blow the dust from the covers, but to just sit back and read and not take notes or write notes on a manuscript was like re-charging my reading batteries. So I decided to give myself a whole month off from reviewing and just to chill out with a book.<br />
<br />
I discoverd new authors and fabulous books. Some I do not even remember how they have ended up in this lost collection. In your forties you end up with a heck of a lot of stuff, so I have decided any of my personal books to pass on to the local charity shop, I mean think of the dust saving!<br />
<br />
So what do I look for in my own personal choice of book? I have to say a good cover gets me every time. A catchy title and I like a read less than four hundred pages. Time saving and not too heavy. I love a light read, a little chic-lit, a touch of romance, a historical novel, so I am not too fussy, which comes in useful to be a reviewer.<br />
<br />
I do like a happy ending. Characters that you can reach out and emotionally touch you. I have a Kindle, but love the feel of a book.<br />
<br />
I think I may open a book shop by the sea. Serve great coffee and oh yes there will be cake. In the evenings we will go to wine and host great events. All will be welcome and days will be good, nights will be exciting. Oh to live in flip-flops and be surrounded by books.<br />
<br />
Books at the Beach. Books by the Beach. Once we have the title then away we go. <br />

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Mia cannot escape
the thoughts of her past. Growing up not knowing who her father has
left Mia with a lot of unanswered questions, questions her mother, a
successful and well-known actress is not prepared to answer. So when
Archie a close friend of her mother and also a member of the
Hollywood acting elite makes Mia a generous offer and a grand gesture
in his will leaving her with something extraordinary, will this lead
to Mia finally getting all the answers that are necessary in the
search of just who is her father?</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Once I get an
Adrienne Vaughan book in my hands, I know from page one that the book
will take me away to far off places without me leaving my sofa. This
is an emotionally charged story with a heart and soul feel from deep
within the passion of the pages, add great adventure, secrets, lies
and betrayal, that leads you so close into the characters lives you
cannot help but become involved and read on for the outcome to a
breathtaking and at times suspenseful story.</div>

Lost in a
relationship with something that she feels is missing and not quite
right, our leading lady Anna waves an impulsive au revior and escapes
to a beautiful little village in France, to find herself by reviewing
and rethinking her life and relationship.
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
A nice easy read
that I read in one sitting on a cold snowy day snuggled indoors. I
found myself transported to France and utterly lost in Anna's life. I
like that there is a sub-plot of a mystery thrown into the storyline
that adds a little something extra to the romance of the story.</div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
An interesting story
set in both the past and almost present day. Covering the Nazi
occupation of Guernsey in World War II and the unresolved issues of a
mystery of a stolen Renoir painting. When a suspected suicide occurs
in present times connecting both incidents our characters work hard
to uncover the truth and the facts of what happened in the past to
find closure in the future.
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
I really enjoyed the
storyline of the book and I thought the cross over of going back and
forth between past and present throughout the book was very neatly
done. The author thoroughly did her research. If you like history,
romance, crime and a touch of the paranormal then this is the book
for you.

<br />
<br />
Don't you all just love a blank page, a blank screen. Just waiting to be filled with words ideas and a lot of love? The start of a new project. Do you develop plotline first or do you just flow and go where the ideas take you? Do you escape and become lost in the drama and find you need time to ajust back to the 'real world' after a long writing session? We write and our words become polished by our fabulous editors, but doesnt predictive text drive you bonkers? We write with a passion and passion and predictive text really do not mix.<br />
<br />
When you are writing one idea and another comes zooming into your head to the point of distraction that you excuse yourself from a writers meeting and escape to the loos and only emerge after next novel is complete. Got to act fast haven't you? Before that idea bursts, never to be thought of again. When you are in a situation or you people watch and know that would be great to write about, so you napkin grab and write it down, only for it to be added to the hundred napkins on the passenger seat of your car.<br />
<br />
When you think as a writer its a good idea to write a blog and free write without the safety net of an editor, laying yourself bare and raw for all to see. Like seeing into your soul.<br />
<br />
When in real life you are an honest person and people tell you that you lie for a living.<br />
<br />
When you see an actor saying your words and the acting is so good you don't believe you ever have written them.<br />
<br />
When you have written a fecking amazing review and you see it in a book, only to see someone else put their name to it.<br />
<br />
When you have a story you have to keep deep inside as there would be so much trouble if you let it out. So you do anyway but change all names, places and juggle events.<br />
<br />
When your favourite pen runs out.<br />
<br />
When you use that old type writer. Just for fun.<br />
<br />
When you procrastinate and write silly lists.<br />
<br />
Writing THE END<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Relationships are at
the heart of this story and each of the characters are at a
crossroads of change in their lives. Each chapter we learn a little
more of each character individually and slowly we learn how they are
all connected.</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
The story is very
fast paced with lively words from page one that are so full of spark
and energy they explode off the page with enthusiasm, sweeping the
reader along in their energetic almost hyperactive way, that is
thoroughly entertaining.</div>

<span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">My
inspiration for The Betrayal, Book 6 in The Guernsey Novels.</span></span></h2>
<div align="justify" class="western" style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">

‘Echoes of Time’, is dual-time, with chapters set during WWII and
the present day. The events I describe during the Occupation are
based on fact, but the characters are fictional.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUeJs3NzYZdfd0StjGt5BG9xCh3-PxHu1l8qWvAMGrApR_U4Xo8euLyzWirxQEc5prASm0kaFxCSA-_NcE5Y3IgntWISBMoM5ke3_u5FGcYBfJSboAhuGPcXQG6Tp9moSd9mvgqW_oM8M/s1600/Iphoto+for+email.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="683" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUeJs3NzYZdfd0StjGt5BG9xCh3-PxHu1l8qWvAMGrApR_U4Xo8euLyzWirxQEc5prASm0kaFxCSA-_NcE5Y3IgntWISBMoM5ke3_u5FGcYBfJSboAhuGPcXQG6Tp9moSd9mvgqW_oM8M/s320/Iphoto+for+email.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div align="justify" class="western" style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">The
first inspiration for this story was the deportation of Jews from
Guernsey by the Germans during WWII. There was only a handful on the
island and not long after the Occupation in 1940, they were singled
out for more onerous treatment than other islanders. Eventually they
had businesses and property confiscated before, in 1942, being sent
to concentration camps. None returned. It is now considered a
shameful blot on the island’s history, but the then local
government was powerless to resist their German ‘masters’. </span></span>
</div>
<div align="justify" class="western" style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">On
a brighter note, the second inspiration was the artist Renoir. He
spent the summer of 1883 in Guernsey painting numerous versions of a
particular bay, Muelin Huet, amongst others. At least one of these
paintings is in a museum. I joined these two known events to produce
‘The Betrayal’.</span></span></div>
<div align="justify" class="western" style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Leo
Bichard is a prominent businessman whose French grandmother was a
Jew, although both his parents were Christians. His family have never
mentioned their ancestry but, unfortunately for Leo, someone tells
the Germans, and he is deported with other Jews to concentration
camps and does not return. </span></span>
</div>
<div align="justify" class="western" style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">A
matter of days before the Germans arrive, Leo sends his beloved wife,
Teresa, and child to England and he stays to defend his property and
stand alongside his fellow islanders. However, the Germans soon
impose severe restrictions on the population and Leo is forced to
close his business and months later his house is taken over by
soldiers and he has no choice but to live with his housekeeper in her
small cottage.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div align="justify" class="western" style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">When
Teresa returns after the war, she finds her home wrecked and the
family’s valuables, including an extensive art collection, missing.
One of those was a treasured family painting by Renoir. Learning she
is a widow, she returns heartbroken to live with her family in
England.</span></span></div>
<div align="justify" class="western" style="line-height: 115%; margin-bottom: 0.35cm;">
<span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">In
2010 Nigel and his twin Fiona, locals who have lived in London since
university, return to Guernsey and buy a long-established antiques
shop. A year later, during a refit, they find a hidden stash of
paintings, including what appears to be a Renoir. Days later, Fiona
finds Nigel dead, an apparent suicide. Refusing to accept the
verdict, a distraught Fiona employs a detective to help her discover
the truth.</span></span></div>

<br />
Life can be funny at times. I don't mean funny ha, ha, just funny at times. We never know what, or where it may take us, or the time it may take away. I find myself with not much free time of late. I like to look after my clients and be fully involved to take them and their books to the next level. I like to discover fresh and new talent to let loose on the writing world and this blog is one of the ways in which I find just what I am looking for. <br />
<br />
Lately I have been spending time with a very special person and have been homing in on their talent and watching the way the world sees them in a different light. Given the opportunity they have a talent so great, they can go on to achieve nothing but good things. Unfortunately like a lot of us who work in media they have had their share of knock backs. But we all know from knock backs there can be come backs and I know in the future this will be 'one to watch' They will go on to great things. <br />
<br />
My little cottage in beautiful North Yorkshire is calling to me, my desk all set to prepare for my new ideas, to flow and turn into presentable words. My editor knowing I will be keeping them very busy over the next few months and knowing I have the backing of my wonderful co-writing team.<br />
<br />
So off I go into the unknown. Sadly leaving me no time for reviews over the next few months. New projects await. Pencils need sharpening and in a world with no predictive text holding me back, a story will surface with new names and places and faces. Covering and completing the pages.<br />
<br />
See you all soon<br />

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
A cosy Christmas
read, built around the renovation of a cottage. A cottage where once
hope and dreams for the future were tragically put on hold, when life
did take a whole different direction for the cottage owner Elana and
her young daughter. When handsome and young Luke steps in to help
with the work, foundations are built on to form feelings that can no
longer be ignored and with a little help from a Christmas spirit, can
hearts also be restored to let a little love in?

I loved this book
from beginning to end. Pure escapism and if I had the chance I would
have read it all in the one sitting. Just simply one of those perfect
reads that you can get so involved with the characters that you can
get completely lost in the book and forget about everything for a
short while and take a break out of your own life and become
captivated in someone else’s. Leaves you feeling good.</div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Henri finds herself
in a whole heap of trouble, she heads for the Highlands of Scotland
to escape and Castle Tearmannair is as faraway to hideaway as anyone
could get. She is set to work in the castle library, cataloguing the
contents of its ancient and dusty book collection. Looking for items
of value, to help save the castle crumbling from age and decline,
while waiting for the dust to settle on her own problems.</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
Employed by an
eccentric laird in what in every way this remote place should be a
quiet retreat, she doesn’t count on meeting his handsome son and
setting her heart on adventure and new discoveries, she may treasure
forever.

Lizzie Lamb knows
how to tell a good tale and her mix of romance and adventure
surrounded in a scottish setting is the perfect place to meet a
wonderful bunch of characters and with a picturesque flow of words
that flourish and flow off the pages, the reader is transported right
into each and every scene. </div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
After living her
dream life in the Big Apple, Rosie unexpectedly finds herself back in
her home town of Scarborough, where she is now running a run-down
old-fashioned Victorian hotel. The hotel is filled with its own
community of permanent residents who are used to the laid-back and
gently atmosphere of the hotel. A far-cry from the hustle and bustle
of New York City.</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
All is set to change
when the hotel is bought by two eccentric American brothers, who even
though have never been to see the hotel decide to make some very big
changes and transition manager Rory comes in to oversee the
renovation.
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
With a cast of
colourful characters and a lively and witty narration to the book you
are in for an entertaining read. I like the way the story has the
theme of two story-lines from the past and present running parallel
along side each other. A perfect beach, or by the pool holiday read.
I also have a soft spot for Scarborough as it is my home town and
having spent time myself in New York, I think Scarborough is just as
charming and charismatic and you get that feel from the book. </div>
