The Promise of Provence by Patricia Sands

I am really enjoying Patricia Sand’s books. They are quite remarkable, and really do have you hooked from page one. I really liked Katherine and admired her strength and dedication to finding it within herself, to pull herself back up from such an awful situation she finds herself in. It is a book about moving on from the past and new beginnings. I also have to mention how wonderful and different the endings are to Patricia’s books.

So why not take time out of your own life and take a trip to Provence? All for the price of a book!

The Bridge Club by Patricia Sands

The Bridge club is a story about a group of friends who meet for their monthly game of bridge at each other’s houses. The story focuses on each of the woman lives over the years as they share key changing events in their lives, and the help and the support they are given from the group.

It is a story of strong bonds and friendships, the stories are deeply moving and quite emotional at times. This book is just a wonderful read that shows the nicer side to human nature. No matter what you go through in life if you have the support and love of good friends as shown in this book you can get through anything. 

Boot Camp Bride by Lizzie Lamb

Ambitious rookie reporter Charlee Montague is looking for her big break in journalism. Handsome award winning photographer Rafael Ffinch may be her chance to achieve her dreams of becoming a top hack, when he offers her the chance to work undercover posing as his fiancée at a boot camp for brides. Incognito as a bride to be so they can take photos of the supermodel Anastasia Markova.

I really enjoyed Lizzie’s first book Tall Dark and Kilted and I was really looking forward to reading this book and I was not disappointed. This book reminded me just a touch of one of my favourite films romancing the Stone. You know the Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner one? The writing in this book is equally as good as the script to that film and the characters as likeable.   So I really enjoyed the storyline and this book is going in my top ten reads.
