So You Think You’re A Celebrity … Chef by Caroline James

Hilary Hargreaves runs a successful agency and looks after celebrity chefs such as Zelda Martin who had just landed a new job presenting a brand new cooking show on prime time television and a book deal.

When Hilary goes to Ireland to look into opening a cookery school with Lenny Crispin, Lenny is really keen to be involved with Hilary and to get the project under way by finding sponsors. Hilary finds herself meeting face to face with her ex Mickey Lloyd her one and only true love. She has a chance to get back together with him, but when she meets ageing rock star Long Tom Hendry who is a little lost and battling his demons, she feels drawn to him and they have a connection.

Zelda is about to begin filming on her new show. This could be her big chance to get back in the limelight, but with an overbearing mother and a fiancé who constantly criticises her weight can she ever make her personal life go as good as her professional one?

What is it with Lenny’s eagerness? Is he looking for much more than fame?

This book is full of lots of colourful characters. I loved escaping into Hilary’s world.  There are so many wonderful characters in this book. My favourite was Zelda. This book has good humour and some great lines in it. There is also a touch of crime and surprising scenes.  I found this to be a lively and entertaining read, with never a dull moment.
